Alexandra-Maria-Lara

Alexandra Maria Lara (born in Romania) is the Romanian actor and TV host. Her most well-known work is the lead in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control as well as Rush. Alexandra Maria Lara was born as the sole child of Romanian film actor Valentin Platareanu. In her early teens she portrayed the lead role in several dramas on television. In the Oscar-nominated film Downfall the role she played as Adolf Hitler's Secretary Traudljunge was also critically acclaimed. The Reader is another Oscar nominated movie featuring this actress. In the past, Alexandra has worked in several notable international and national projects. One of these is the British biographical movie Control, the Greek film The Dust of Time, and the French historic miniseries Napoleon. In addition, she was an active member of the Cannes Film Festival jury and Transylvania International Film Festival.
