Maggie Grace and Maggie Gyllenhaal

Maggie Grace, born Margaret Grace Denig on 21 September the 21st of September 1983 in Worthington Ohio is an American actor. She is best known for playing Shannon Rutherford and Kim Mills respectively on ABC's Lost TV show. Originally from Worthington Ohio she dropped out of high school in order to relocate to Los Angeles with her mother when her parents separated. As she struggled financially, she was able to land her first part as Rachel's Room's main character the web-based video show Rachel's Room in the year 2001. Following her win of an Young Artist Award in 2002 due to her role as Murder on the streets of Greenwich of a 15-year old Martha Moxley as a murder victim, Grace was able to be awarded. Grace Rutherford was the main actor in Lost during its initial two seasons. In 2004, she was awarded the Screen Actors Guild Award with the entire ensemble. Grace decided to concentrate on film after playing opposite Tom Welling's character on The Fog, in 2005. She has appeared on Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club as well in 2007 and Taken with Liam Neeson in 2008 as Kim Mills. She played the same role on Taken 2 and Taken 3 (both in 2012). Grace returned to Shannon's character in Lost for two more episodes, including the final episode of the series. The year 2013 saw Grace appear in the episode Californianation of the 6th Season. She plays Faith as a fan and muse of the celebrities. Hank Moody as played by David Duchovny falls in love with her. Part of the Gyllenhaal family she is the daughter of filmmakers Stephen Gyllenhaal and Naomi Achs as well as the elder sibling of actor Jake Gyllenhaal. She began her career when she was a teenager, playing small roles in several of the films of her father and starred together with her brother in famous cult classic Donnie Darko (2001). She then appeared as a character in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind and Mona Lisa Smile (both 2002). Gyllenhaal was praised by critics for her performances as the lead in Secretary (2002 the erotic romance drama), and Sherrybaby (606) Both of which garnered the actress Golden Globe Award nods. The year 2006 was the time she had a number of films that were commercially successful, including World Trade Center. However, it was her role as Rachel Dawes that brought her greater attention for her performance in The Dark Knight (2008). The year 2009 was the time she received a nomination as the best supporting Actress at the Academy Awards for her role of a single mom in Crazy Heart. The roles she played in subsequent films include Nanny McPhee as well as in the Big Bang and Hysteria. Apart from her character as an agent of the Secret Service agent, she also appeared in White House Down (2013) and Frank (2014). The most recent roles were her character as the primary protagonist The Kindergarten Teacher The Kindergarten Teacher (2018). Gyllenhaal was the writer and director of her first film, The Lost Daughter in 2021. The thriller that dealt with psychological issues was awarded the Best Screenplay Award from the Venice International Film Festival. It was also nominated to the Academy Award of Best Adapted Screenplay.
